Francis Thomas Avallone was born on September 18, 1939
in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

A teen idol of the late 50’s and early 60’s with 25 visits to
the Hit Parade to his credit, Frankie Avalon entered
the top ten  in 1958 with “Dede Dinah” and “Gingerbread” before
his first #1 hit “Venus.” “Bobby Sox to Stockings,” “Just Ask Your Heart”
and his second #1 hit “Why” followed.

As an accomplished singer, trumpet player and actor,
Frankie has more than 30 motion pictures to his credit,
including “Jamboree,” “The Alamo”, “Guns of the Timberland,”
“The Carpetbaggers,” “Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea” and “Grease.” 

The father of four boys and four girls, senior citizen Frankie Avalon
and his wife Kathryn, a former beauty pageant winner, live in
southern California and he continues to make personal appearances.
